Dr Emmeline Lee

Emmeline graduated from the University of Western Australia with an MBBS, who then went on to obtain a Diploma in Obstetrics from RANZCOG before specialising in Radiology in WA. She then completed fellowships in Women's Imaging and in Breast Imaging. She is currently working at multiple sites in Perth, including Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and King Edward Memorial Hospital, which is tertiary Women’s hospital. She has an academic appointment at the University of Western Australia as Adjunct Associate Professor. Emmeline has a few roles at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR), including Co-Chair of the Obstetric and Gynaecological Special Interest Group (OGSIG), Co-Lead examiner in O&G Imaging , and member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion taskforce.
She has received multiple awards including the Australasian Society of Ultrasound in Medicine (ASUM)’s Sonologist of the year award in 2019, the Professor Turab Chakera Award for Radiology Teaching in 2014. and the Bill Hare Travelling Fellowship from RANZCR in 2023. Emmeline is the Expert Advisor for Obstetric Imaging in the popular imaging reference organisation, Radiopaedia.org, and is a regular contributor/lecturer there. As part of her commitment to education, Emmeline is Co-Lead in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for Radiology Across Borders, and has done multiple trips supporting, Radiologists, Registrars, Sonographers and Medical Students in developing nations. Emmeline also has a keen research interest, particularly in the field of Subfertility, and has published widely on this topic.
Emmeline loves combining work and play, epitomised by participation in the Targeting Cancer run at RANZCR ASM most years (mostly trying not to die enroute!), and making cake and tea for registrars at the hospital.
