Dr Shueh Lim
Dr Lim qualified in medicine in 2011 from Scotland and completed his radiology and interventional radiology training in Edinburgh, Scotland. He undertook his post-graduate interventional radiology clinical fellowships in both Edinburgh and Auckland. Dr Lim has published and presented at various international meetings. He has also done multiple visiting observerships to leading IR centres across Europe and US. He is the current clinical lead for interventional radiologists at Wellington Regional Hospital and a clinical lecturer at University of Otago.
Within the first year as a new consultant, Dr Lim has introduced cryoablation for RCC, arterectomy (Shockwave, Rotarex and CSI) for complex peripheral arterial intervention, IVUS for deep venous and arterial disease, Ellipsis endoAVF and pulmonary embolism thrombectomy and PAE to Wellington Hospital. He has performed the most mechanical thrombectomy for DVT in New Zealand and in the last year have set up an MSK intervention program at the hospital. He is also the convener of the inaugural New Zealand VTE meeting.
